Feedback Needed on Individualized Funding Program for Autism Spectrum Disorder

    July 06, 2017

StylizedWheatSheaf.jpgIn 2016, the Government of Saskatchewan committed to implementing an Individualized Funding Program for parents and/or caregivers of children living with ASD.  This individualized funding will be provided to families outside of existing resources such as Supports for Learning funding that divisions receive from the ministry.

An Autism Stakeholder Working Group has been created to assist government in developing a new funding model.  The working group has created an online survey for parents/caregivers of children with ASD, as well as service providers and other stakeholders.

If you know of any parents/caregivers or service providers who would be interested in participating, we would appreciate your help in letting them know that the survey is available now until July 26, 2017 at saskatchewan.ca/ASD-Survey.

To learn more, please visit saskatchewan.ca/ASD-Survey.  If you are interested in providing specific feedback on behalf of your organization, please do so using the Additional Feedback section of that page.

The Autism Stakeholder Working Group is expected to complete its work by late fall 2017.  A summary of the survey results and feedback will be available in late fall 2017.
