For the 2009-2010 academic year, the Good Spirit School Division has purchased a plan of accident insurance covering each full-time elementary and secondary student. Our insurance carrier is Industrial Alliance Pacific Insurance Company which carries the IAP Kids Plus Accident Insurance coverage. This insurance is in force while the students are attending school (school hours) and while students are attending school-sponsored and supervised activities as well as while travelling directly to and from those activities.

Parents have the option of extending coverage for students to 24 hours a day including weekends and holidays. For your convenience, arrangements are in place for families to voluntarily purchase student accident insurance through the IAP Kids Plus Accident Insurance program, underwritten by Industrial Alliance Pacific Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (IAP). Information is distributed at the beginning of the school year to each student regarding the purchase of additional insurance coverage (for an example of the application form, click here).

ACCIDENT INSURANCE CLAIMS:

It is the parent's/guardian's responsibility to submit the claim to Industrial Alliance Pacific Insurance Company directly whereby the parent/guardian can either pay the bills and wait for reimbursement or make arrangements with the insurance company to pay the supplier directly.
