At the Good Spirit School Division (GSSD), we are committed to maintaining high educational standards while fostering a supportive environment for our staff. When concerns regarding performance arise, we follow a structured process called progressive discipline. This approach is designed to provide staff with opportunities for improvement and development. However, if concerns persist after support has been offered, more formal actions, such as suspension or termination, may be necessary.

GSSD also upholds the principles of natural justice, ensuring that all staff have a fair chance to respond to any concerns brought forward. Clear and transparent processes are in place to ensure that staff members are treated equitably and can appeal decisions if required. In some cases, these matters may be referred to external bodies responsible for overseeing professional conduct. Our goal is to balance support for our staff while safeguarding the high-quality education our students deserve. We remain committed to fostering an environment where everyone—students, families, and staff—can thrive.
